PROGRAM: World War I certified the advent of a new age and marked the beginning of an unprecedented period of ideological and political militancy in Europe since 1848. In the new arena, which opened in August 1914 , culture, science and politics were deeply affected: new ways of analyzing the new reality, renewed literary genres, philosophical approaches and artistic perspectives were born.
With this general framework in mind, this year's Walter Benjamin International Colloquium sets out to analyze, from the centrality of the German philosopher, the various aspects that derived from the conflict from the analysis of historians, philosophers, philologists. and experts in art and culture.

18: 00h: Tribute to the cemetery of Portbou. Floral offering, reading of poems and speeches.

8: 00h Route "Walter Benjamin, last passage" (Travel Program of the Arts)
Walking route, Banyuls de la Marenda-Portbou, along the path that Walter Benjamin took, accompanied by readings of his literary and philosophical work.
With the intervention of the artist Patrícia Fernández and the guidance of Clara Garí (Nau Côclea).
The Journey of the Arts is a project of Nau Côclea.
